Using Studies in Traffic and Speeds Explorer

Save your work in Traffic and Speeds Explorer as a Study and pick up an analysis where you left off.

You can save your work in Traffic and Speeds Explorer as a Study. A Study keeps your geographies, network links, filters, and visualization selections, so you can return to an analysis right where you left off. Studies work the same way they do in Travel Patterns Explorer.

What a Study saves

  • The geographies and network links you selected

  • Your filters, such as road type, direction, and time period

  • Your visualization selections, including whether you are viewing AADT or Speeds

Save a Study

  1. Open Traffic and Speeds Explorer from the Applications menu in Replica Studio.

  2. Set up your analysis.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Enter a Name and, if you like, a Description, then click Save.

After the first save, your changes save automatically. The title bar shows Saving… and then Saved.

If you try to leave Traffic and Speeds Explorer with unsaved work, Replica Studio asks whether to save it as a Study first. Choose Discard to leave without saving.

Find and manage your Studies

Your saved Studies appear in the Recent Work table on the Replica Studio home page and on the Studies page for Annual Traffic and Speeds Explorer. The Studies page lists each Study's name, description, and when it was last updated. From there you can:

  • Open a Study to continue your analysis

  • Rename a Study

  • Duplicate a Study to try a variation without changing the original

  • Delete a Study you no longer need

Traffic and Speeds Explorer was previously called Network Explorer. Bookmarks and links to Network Explorer open Traffic and Speeds Explorer automatically.
